#FringeFanFriday: @Jjjhiggins85

Hello Fringe Family,

It's time for another #FringeFanFriday!

Congrats to @Jjjhiggins85 for being selected to participate in this weeks edition.

You can read her interview below....

1. What country are you from?

Canada (East Coast)

 2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

2012 was the first time I watched Fringe.  My husband watched the show and kept telling me how much I would love it, but since I hadn't watched from the beginning I never tuned in.  Then we got Season 1 on DVD and we watched it together.  Needless to say I was HOOKED!!  I binged watched the rest of the series so that I could catch the final season as it aired on Television.

3. What are your top 3 favorite episodes?

I am a huge Peter fan, so my top 3 episodes are "Northwest Passage",

"Welcome to Westfield",

And, "6B".

4. What is one of your favorite moments of the entire series?

It's a scene in Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) when Peter comes out of animation and back to reality in the Lab.  The scene is done so well and his reaction is incredibly believable (when he feels he is about to be hit by the truck) that I have to rewind it and watch it again a second time. But there are so many other moments that are right up there with it.

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

I feel like I have a bit of each one of them in me, but I think I would identify most with Astrid as I love to help people and I am the type of person that people depend on.  The only difference is that I'm more the leader like Olivia or Peter than Astrid would be.

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

I think I would've liked to have seen Peter find out exactly what the White Tulip meant. I know he would find the Video from Walter, but I don't think he quite understood the significance of what Walter sent him in the mail.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

It might sound silly, but it would either be the Faraday cage that Peter wore in S4 or Peter's MIT shirt.

8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

I would like to know if they have the same friends that I do. I have one friend who I've known since I was 5 yrs old.

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

Unfortunately I have never met any of the cast.  The closest I ever got was John Noble Liking and Retweeting a couple of my Tweets and Josh answering one of my questions in a Live Facebook Q&A.

 10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

Please be respectful of @Jjjhiggins85's personal photo.
I still consider Fringe to be one of the best television shows I have ever watched and I continue to watch the DVDs over and over again.  I don't think I would ever get tired of watching it.  It's an amazing show and the writing was incredible.  And thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts on this great show.

Thank you so much, Jjjhiggins85! You can follow her on Twitter: @Jjjhiggins85

#FringeFanFriday: @Yogabon

Hello Fringe Family,

It is time for another #FringeFanFriday! Congrats to @Yogabon for being selected to participate in this weeks edition.

You can read her interview below....

1. What country are you from?

USA

2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

2008, I love Genre TV.

3. What is your top 3 favorite episodes?

Very difficult question. "The Arrival" hooked me.

"There's More Than One Of Everything",

"White Tulip",

"The End Of All Things". Season 4 was fantastic. Improves upon each rewatch.

4. What is one of your favorite moments of the entire series?

Olivia breaking down as she realizes Alt Olivia had been wearing her clothes. But again there are so many.

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

Peter's real mother. She loved deeply and against all hope. I think she really saved both universes.

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

Only that it had happened after 7 seasons instead of 5.  Seriously it was amazing! I would have loved more Etta, Sam Weiss and less Michael.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

Gene the cow, of course ;-)

8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

If they have children and what they learned from either having them or not.

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

Yes!  I got to meet, Jasika, Seth and Michael Cerveris at Dragon Con 2013.  They were very gracious and spent several minutes with me and another Fan.  It was quiet in the Walk of Fame because the parade was going on.  They were my first autographs ever and signed my Fringe Files book.

Please be respectful of @Yogabon's personal photo.

And the Magnificent John Noble at Dragon Con 2015.  He was so very charming and 7 of us Fringe Podcast Fans took a photo with him.  He knelt down to accommodate us all.  I ended up walking in with him to the Walk of Fame one of the days and he even seemed to remember me and was so very pleasant!

10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

The best thing of all about being a Fringe Fan was the amazing community I found when I found The Fringe Podcast with Darrell and Clint.  We would live chat during podcast recordings and the airing of the show.  I even got to co-host a summer rewatch episode.
We came together as a community to watch the Finale together in Oklahoma City and many of us commenced a Friday night rewatch for 18 months after the series ended, live chatting on The Fringe Podcast live streaming.
We rendezvou'd again for the Dragon Con's and when members suffered losses we have supported each other by sending white tulips or supporting Go-fund me campaigns. From our humble fan community many terrific podcasters have sprung covering other shows as well.
For about 2 years I've been tweeting #FringeFriday tweets every FridayI also still tweet quotes during my own rewatches. Fringe Forever!

#FringeFanFriday: @VittoriaBishop

Hello Fringe Family!

Last Friday we sent out a tweet for our new #FringeFanFriday series and asked that you retweet our message for a chance to be apart of the fun!

We then randomly chose a person out of all the people that participated and Fringe fan, Vittoria Bishop was chosen!

You can read her special interview below.....

1. What country are you from?
Italy, a small town near the wonderful Venice.

2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

In 2009 on a small local TV station, where I fell in love with it and then I downloaded all of the original series from Torrent and watched it with subs.

3. What is your top 3 favorite episodes?

"The Pilot", it literally captured my mind.

"Lysergic Acid Diethylamide",  I love the way the Fringe team does whatever it takes to recover Olivia from inside her mind.  I also think of that episode as a tribute to the beautiful movie, "Inception".

"A Short Story About Love",  Because we finally get to see Olivia and Peter together again.

4. What is one of your favorite moments of the entire series?

When Peter discovers that he is from the Alt-Universe....WOW! I love the depth of drama that it brought to the show.

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

Between Olivia and AltOlivia, to say it with color:  Blue + White = Light blue. :)

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

Oh, if I could I would eliminate the entire 5th season, but I respectfully accepted the decision of the creators.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

The Cortexiphan!!!! :)

8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

If they are more calm and patient.

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

I have never met any of them, although Anna Torv was in Orvieto in 2008 (but it is far from Venice).

10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

I can say that there is no TV series that I will miss as much as Fringe. I'm proud to be a small part of it with your #FringeFanFriday, and am thankful for all the people that helped come up with this fantastic idea.

Bonus Question: Do you own any Fringe merchandise?

I own a copy of the fabulous, "September's Notebook"  by T.Bennett and P.Terry.

Thank you so much, Vittoria! You can follow her on Twitter: @VittoriaBishop

#GoodbyeOldFriend

Hello Fringedom!

I hope everyone is having a lovely February so far. This month also marks the one year anniversary of the passing of our beloved Leonard Nimoy.

Though Leonard is most famous for his work in Star Trek, he has certainly left an indelible mark in our Fringe community that will never be forgotten.

I believe that Leonard's final tweet highlights the special depth and wisdom of his heart, that continues to inspire me to be a better person.

On February 27th we hope you will join us in honoring our treasured William Bell with a #GoodbyeOldFriend Fringe event!

We will be hosting a rewatch of the season 2 finale "Over There: Part 1" at 8pm/EST
and "Over There: Part 2" at 9pm/EST.

We are also putting together a video tribute to Leonard and if you would like to contribute any fan-art, poster, pic or message to include in the video we will be glad to add it! Be sure to send your content to our e-mail: onthefringeagain@gmail.com by February 20th. We will then share the video during the event on February 27th!

Lastly, if you have a favorite memory of Leonard or a favorite scene of "Belly's" remember to share it with the hashtag #GoodbyeOldFriend.

#StillLookingUp

Hi Fringe Family!

We hope you all had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As many of you know this January marks the 3 year anniversary of our beloved show reaching its conclusion back in 2013.

It is hard to believe it has been 3 years since we crossed the line together but Fringe continues to live on
in each and every one of us!

Starting January 17th & 18th we will be celebrating the Fringe finale with an anniversary party event!

To accommodate fans in all time zones we are starting the festivities on Sunday Jan.17th with fun Fringe related games
throughout the day.

We also thought something special for our fandom to do would be to write on a piece of paper or poster what Fringe means to you or how it has changed you and post it with the hashtag #StillLookingUp. If you would rather do a digital edit, fan art or fan video to express what Fringe means to you that would be great too, just remember to include #StillLookingUp in all
of your Fringe related content!

On Monday Jan.18th we will have more games throughout the day and then a rewatch of "Liberty" at 8pm/EST
and "An Enemy Of Fate" at 9pm/EST.

Let's keep the light for our little show burning bright!

#RememberingAimee

Hello Fringedom,

I hope everyone is doing well. I know many of you (along with myself) were completely shocked and saddened to hear of Fringenuity co-founder Aimee Long's sudden passing in November of 2013.

Aimee was one of the first people that I got to know when I started getting involved in the fandom back in 2012. She was so warm and welcoming that it inspired me to get to know more Fringies and discover what an amazing family the Fringe fandom is.

Aimee loved the heart of Fringe and it showed through the passion she put into the many Twitter campaigns she hosted (along with the other members of Fringenuity) that helped get Fringe a final season. For me personally it is hard not to think about Aimee every time I think about the show because she was an important part of my Fringe experience.

This Friday, November 6th I would like for our fandom to honor Aimee by sharing a favorite memory or perhaps a special fan art or Fringe picture with the hashtag #RememberingAimee.

Aimee has left a permanent imprint on our Fringedom that can never be erased so let's do our best to keep her light burning bright!

P. S.  If you are unfamiliar with who Aimee was then I encourage you to read this touching article she wrote about what the show and the fans meant to her: http://fringeofohio.tumblr.com/post/36997081602/my-love-letter-to-fringe-and-the-fandom

My Fringe Movie Poster by @pixelsmith24

Hi Fringies!

Over the past few weeks, we at OTFA held a contest asking you to create your vision for a Fringe movie. I personally wanted to create something, but I didn’t want to submit anything while the contest was ongoing. I would’ve been disqualified anyway (our female team members also threatened to beat me up…not sure how that works over the internet). At any rate, I’ve held off until after the contest, until now. . . .

In discussions I've had in the past, and also in reading fan suggestions for a Fringe movie, it seems that there are a lot of Fringies who would like to see what happens after the series ends; a movie where they bring Walter back from the future to the present. I just can't see how that story could contain enough excitement to fill an entire movie, especially if there's no Walter there for the majority of the time (I need the comedic relief that only he can provide)!

No, I'd like to see a movie with all of the main characters and also contain the same feeling that Fringe brought every Friday night. There is a huge gap in the Fringe timeline between seasons 4 and 5 that could easily fill a feature presentation: the Observer takeover!

My idea is about what happens after the events season 4, starting with the birth of Etta, up to the point where the Fringe team encases themselves in amber. I want to see the specific events that occurred so that Olivia wasn't with the rest of the team when they did.  I want to see why William Bell was helping (or was he?) the team when they foiled his plans at the end of season 4 and he vanished. I want to see more of the invasion as described by Simon in "Letters of Transit." I want to see what role Sam Weiss played (though I forgot to add the actor's name to my credits). I want to see September's punishment and transformation into Donald, and him helping Walter. All this and much more!

And now, my vision for the poster:

Rise Of The Observers
Yes, Leonard Nimoy is in my movie.
It's hypothetical. Let me have my dream, dang it!

What do you think? Is there anything that you would want to see in this imaginary movie? Leave a comment below!
