#AmberedInOurHearts

Hello Fringe Family,

I hope everyone is doing well!

It is hard to believe that August marked OTFA's 1 year anniversary. Myself along with some other awesome Fringies started this group last year in honor of Fringe's 7 year anniversary of the pilot, which aired on September 9th, 2008.

Since then, this site has blossomed into a place where we can share our love and passion for Fringe by keeping its spirit alive together!

This year we will keep the tradition going and celebrate Fringe's 8th anniversary on
Friday, September 9th.

We will be hosting a rewatch of the pilot at 9pm-EST (and to those of you that have Netflix it might be a good idea to use it for this event since Fringe will be leaving their service on September 11th).

The hashtag for this celebration will be #AmberedInOurHearts so be sure to use it during the rewatch and in all of your Fringe related tweets that day. You can get an icon for the event here: http://onthefringeagain.blogspot.com/p/fringe-event-icons.html

We will also have some fun little games and surprises throughout the day so be sure to check our twitter (@OnTheFringe365) often for updates!

No matter how much time goes by, the impact that Fringe has made in our close community will forever be #AmberedInOurHearts!

#FringeFanFriday: @hazeleyes5390

Hello Fringe Family,

It's time for another #FringeFanFriday!

Congrats to @hazeleyes5390 for being selected to participate in this weeks edition.

You can read her interview below....

1. What country are you from?

I'm from the United States, two hours from Washington D.C.

2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

I discovered Fringe in 2008. Fringe was on after American Idol and after watching one or two episodes, I was hooked. The character portrayals and "monsters of the week" were amazing.

3. What are your top 3 favorite episodes?

This truly is a hard question. Can I say all? LOL

I love all the 19th episodes, with "LSD" (3x19) being my favorite. The power that Olivia exerts as an (animated) child is awesome.

I also love the scene on the rooftop between Peter and Olivia in "The Human Kind" (5x08). The part where (as I interpret it) Olivia shows him their past as she fights for him to remove the observer tech, whew! I love it.

"Brave New World" 1 & 2 are also a favorite because I just love what Rebecca Mader does with her eyes. Whether that was raw talent or CGI... I found it awesome.

The emotion in the "I remember everything" scene of "A Better Human Being" (4x13)  gets me every time.

Finally, I also loved Momentum Deferred.

 4. What is one of your favorite moments of the the entire series?

On-screen... I love the peacoats and the white tulip!

Off-screen... Going to Vancouver and participating in The Fringe Event in 2012. The people who facilitated it gave me an experience of a lifetime. I met so many awesome people and got into so many things, such as amazing fanfics and a treasure-trove of great videos. I got inspired to write my own fanfics... just a few. I still listen to a playlist created by a fellow fan. Vancouver has become my obsession. Not only did I get to see locations that Fringe filmed at but I also got to fall in love with a beautiful city. I returned in 2013 and 2015. 2015 was my favorite trip, I traveled on my own, which was something I never did before. I don't know how, but I feel that without Fringe, I would have never taken chances such as these.

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

I am very much like Olivia. I put a wall up most of the time and I tend to busy myself with caring for others and putting myself last.

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

I would have changed not only the finale but the whole fifth season. I love what they did with it but I wouldn't have let the show end. If it could have just continued and we were in season 8, I'd be a happy fringie. I wish we could have seen the marriage, birth, what happened after the separation, what happened to Etta, and everything that they could dream up.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

If I could get that Ford Flex to come standard with a Charlie Francis, I'd own that.

8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

I would love to sit down and talk to her similar to how Lincoln did. I want to find out where, if any, differences between us started. I feel like my Doppelgänger would be totally different than me and wouldn't be so judgmental of herself.

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

Yes, I have. So far I have met:

Michael Cerveris/September- I have met him twice. I went to an off-Broadway show      ( Nikolai and the Others) of which both Blair Brown and he was acting in. It was amazing. I bought front row seats and while its hard to explain, there was no area between the seats and stage... I could practically reach out and touch him... don't worry though, I didn't. I waited until after where nerves almost got the best of me. My brother pushed me to wait and when I met him, he was sooooo nice. He spoke with me and then as he took a picture with me, he said, "let me get into character" and he removed his hat. I was so happy.
I then met him at DragonCon in Atlanta. Sigh... :-)

Blair Brown/Nina Sharp- Fresh off the high of meeting Michael Cerveris, I spoke with Blair and she too was one of the friendliest people ever! Got a signature and picture too.

Jasika Nicole/Astrid- I met her at DragonCon along with Michael Cerveris and Seth Gable. I sat in on the Fringe panel that they had and then went to get pictures and signatures. So cool to meet her.

Seth Gable/Lincoln- He too was cool. He is so down to earth and wise.

John Noble/Walter- I met him at another off-Broadway play(The Substance of Fire). I was really nervous to meet him so I literally asked him to autograph something and take a picture with me. I WAS SO AWKWARD!!! He was really nice.

Josh Jackson/Peter - I met him at another off-Broadway play (Smart People). There was a line of people and he took his time with each one and was really  friendly.

Georgina Haig/Etta- I met her on the set of Once Upon A Time. I had the "Resist" poster with me from September's Notebook and I got her to autograph it and take a picture with me. She was so kind as well.

Just need to meet Anna Torv/Olivia and Lance Reddick/Broyles and I am set!

10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

It is so awesome to be part of a fandom as awesome as we are! I really appreciate those who keep Fringe alive!

#FringeFanFriday: @hippeechick21

Hello Fringe Family,

It's time for another #FringeFanFriday!

Congrats to @hippeechick21 for being selected to participate in this weeks edition.

You can read her interview below....

1. What country are you from?

I live in the United States. West coast to be more specific.

 2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

I started watching in 2008, but I was a bit late to the party. My older brother was the one to recommend it to me, really I have him to thank for showing me the awesomeness that is Fringe. The first episode I watched was "The Cure". But I didn't get fully hooked till episode 14 (Ability.) Peter & Olivia's chemistry was the cherry on top of that sundae. What can I say I'm a sci-fi geek who's a total romantic!

3. What are your top 3 favorite episodes?

Its hard to choose just three because honestly I love all 100 episodes but I guess I'll choose the ones I tend to watch when I'm feeling down or that I try really hard not to miss when we do our annual Fringe Binge!

"Brown Betty" - If you know me you can probably guess that Brown Betty made it on my list. There's something about this episode that I just absolutely LOVE. The story line in this episode is brilliant. The way that they tie in both season 1 and season 2 into it is perfect. I must say that making it a vintage 1950s, 60s mystery/musical pretty much clinched this one for me. It is LITERALLY everything I love all in one episode!

"And Those We've Left Behind" - Had to add this one on my list. This one always makes me laugh! The way that Walter treats Peter when he comes back is a bit funny only because Peter to quote my sister "gets his comeuppance" in this episode. He got a taste of how Walter may have felt in season 1 when he kept pushing Walter away. Though Walter is a little funnier about it! I liked the switching of roles these two played in this episode.

"August" - August also makes it on my list. This episode shows just how powerful Love can be. The fact that August sacrificed himself to save Christian Hollis, to make her important, really showed how much emotions (especially love) changed August. This episode was full of Fringe feels!

4. What is one of your favorite moments of the the entire series?

One of my favorite moments is when Olivia gets occupied by William Bell in the episode about the soul magnets. She did such an awesome job of mimicking Bell – it was a great Fringe event but also the acting was flawless. I always enjoy re-watching that particular episode because it leaves you thinking about all the possibilities out there (and it has a lot of funny moments too!)

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

As much as I would have liked to say I was more like our awesome brave and kick ass heroine, Olivia Dunham. I'm definitely a lot more like Walter. Our love of food and music is uncanny. Like Walter I only have a few people that really get me. (Fringies are definitely included in the bunch!) But really Walter & I are the same when it comes to those we love. We'll do anything we can to be there and protect them. We don't give up so easily on them either. I don't know, I always kind of clicked more with Walter. Also I can totally see myself having a pet cow named Gene!

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

I would have loved to seen what happened to Walter after he went through the worm hole. I’m still holding out hope that there is a reunion between him, Peter, Oliva and Astrid somewhere down the line – going through what they went through already, there is no doubt in my mind that they’d be able to solve this whole time travel thing to be reunited.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

I love music, so naturally I would LOVE to own Walter's record collection!!!! Walter Bishop might be my musical soul mate! Lol!

8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

After a moment of shock (like Astrid,) I think I would want to know how different/similar she was to me. If we were majoring in the same field in school or if we shared any of the same interests.

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

Sadly I haven't meet any of the cast. But fingers crossed it'll happen someday.

10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

Fringe might have started off as just a TV show, but it quickly evolved into something so much more.

#FringeFanFriday: @Kellykel63

Hello Fringe Family,

It's time for another #FringeFanFriday!

Congrats to @Kellykel63 for being selected to participate in this weeks edition.

You can read her interview below....

1. What country are you from?

United States

 2. In what year did you discover Fringe and what led you to watch it?

I watched a couple of episodes in the first season, however not being too impressed, I stopped.  One night with nothing to do, I happened upon a Fringe episode and Josh Jackson and John Noble were live tweeting--it was the episode "Bad Dreams".  I didn't watch anymore episodes after that season. Then I watched another episode in the second season (don't remember which one), at the behest of my mother and niece, and I fell in love with the show.  Knowing I needed to catch up, I spent a day binge watching the first season on DVD. After that I never ever missed another episode.

3. What are your top 3 favorite episodes?

I'm a Polivia shipper, so these are my favorite shipper episodes.....

"In Which We Meet Mr. Jones"

"Marionette"

 "A Better Human Being"

4. What is one of your favorite moments of the the entire series?

This is really silly, but it just stays with me. I believe its from episode 1x06 "The Cure", Walter asks Peter to bring him some cotton candy "blue not pink". I can actually hear Walter's voice when I remember the scene. Some of my favorites moments contain great Walter-isms.

5. Which character do you most identify with and why?

Peter because even when he was supposed to not care or not want to be with Walter and crew, he was always supportive and helpful. Quite simply he always cared--it's one of the reasons he stayed on when Olivia asked him to in the pilot episode (also a favorite).  There are a lot of times that I'm not interested in going somewhere, but I go because I care about the person who asked me to come along. I care deeply for my family and friends.

6. If you could change anything about the finale, what would it be?

Actually, I think I would have changed the tone of the entire season to be more hopeful and provide some levity.  However, I thought the finale was excellent so I wouldn't change anything......well, maybe shorten the time spent on September putting together the machine in the lab. That time could have been spent with Walter, Olivia, Peter and Astrid.

7. If you could own any object or prop from the show what would it be?

The crazy helmet hat used in "The Ghost Network" and "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones". It may have been used in other episodes.

 8. If you could meet your Doppelganger what would you be most eager to learn about them?

If they loved my all time favorite TV shows:  FRINGE and THE X-FILES ;)

9. Have you ever met any of the cast members and if so, what was your encounter like?

Unfortunately not. However, I probably wouldn't know what to say.

10. Thank you for taking the time to be apart of our #FringeFanFriday, Is there anything you would like to add about your overall Fringe experience?

I think the best part of my Fringe experience has been interacting in the fandom. I only joined Twitter so that I could tweet about Fringe and follow other people. The fandom really got me involved in social media. It also made me feel okay about obsessing about a TV show. I try to never miss a Fringe Friday shout out every week! Thank you for choosing me to share my Fringe experience and express my love for the show.
